With over 15 years of experience as a highly motivated community advocate, I have dedicated my efforts to advising and fostering partnerships within the not-for-profit sector in Northumberland County and beyond. My hard work and dedication have equipped me with the skills and passion needed to continue advocating for the interests and well-being of underrepresented communities.

Driven by my love for Cobourg, Ontario and fueled by my past experiences as a tenant and worker, I embarked on a mission to make a meaningful impact at the local level beyond my community advocacy.
I proudly ran as a Town Councillor in the August 2022 municipal election. While my first campaign didn't secure a council seat, I am profoundly thankful for the overwhelming support bestowed upon me by the voters. Garnering an impressive 2,269 votes, representing 33% of all viable ballots, it served as a resounding testament to the progressive change I campaigned on.
My JEDI Principles
As a JEDI (Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion) specialist, I promote and uphold principles of fairness, inclusivity, and equality within organizations and communities. I work to identify and address systemic barriers that prevent marginalized individuals and groups from accessing their rights and opportunities.
My responsibilities have included creative thinking, conducting assessments, implementing strategies, and providing training to ensure equitable and inclusive practices are embedded in policies, processes, and decision-making.
I collaborate with stakeholders to create environments where diversity is celebrated and everyone feels valued and respected.
By championing justice, equality, and inclusion, I aim to create positive social change and foster environments where all individuals can thrive and contribute their unique perspectives, talents and lived experiences.
My area of expertise is developing tailored community education workshops, presentations and seminars about being queer in rural, small towns that foster a sense of inspiration and encouragement toward progressiveness.
